With Janeena Chan’s recent Christmas-inspired wedding, here’s a list of three that definitely screamed Crazy Rich Asians
When it comes to wedding season, the best months to have your ceremony are usually around March to April and December to February. And while recent trends have shown us that intimate Filipino weddings have been heavily favored by a lot of people, there are others who indulge in the extravagant when given the chance—and who can blame them? Verniece Enciso, Alodia Gosiengfiao, and most recently, Janeena Chan provehow to perfectly make one’s special day extra crazy—Crazy Rich Asians style.
Janeena Chan and Morgan Say
The influencer-host had her much-anticipated wedding last December 2 at the Santuario de San Jose in Mandaluyong. The venue was decorated with pine trees lit up with lights lined up at the aisle, whereas a giant wreath was placed at the entrance of the chapel.
It reminds us of the iconic wedding scene in Crazy Rich Asians, only this one was done with a holiday twist. Also, did you know that there was a ballet performance at the reception? Yes, there was one and it definitely matched the Christmas vibe.
Verniece Enciso and Alf Dichaves
Another Christmas-themed wedding took place early this year, but it was done in a Winter Wonderland motif. The white-peachy decor, as seen on the florals placed along the aisle, gave the event a whimsical feel compared to the traditional take that Janeena had for her wedding.
So how does this fall under the crazy rich category? Well, the couple had their photos taken at a helipad and a sky backdrop to go with it. We’re going to have to repeat that again—a helipad for a photoshoot. Verniece’s wedding gown was even designed by Michael Cinco himself! Only the best of the best for one’s wedding, right?

Alodia Gosiengfiao and Christopher Quimbo
A darker yet fantastical theme was used for Alodia’s wedding last February with their Midnight-inspired decor. The reception had a rather dim lighting, but it was the flowers that were scattered everywhere that made the venue seem lighter.
The crazy rich detail worth noting here is her list of sponsors that are mostly business tycoons—from the Villars, the Sys, to the Gokongwei-Peis. Dare we call this extra crazy rich?
