Ever since Jisoo debuted with Blackpink, Blinks– Blackpink’s loyal fanbase, have been encouraging Jisoo to get into the world of K-Drama. This comes to no surprise since Jisoo has done a few commercials before her days as a K-Pop idol. Aside from this, she has appeared in a few cameos for music videos for other groups. No doubt about it, Jisoo’s visuals are made for the big screen. That’s why when it was announced that the upcoming K-Drama, Snowdrop, will be featuring the idol, Blinks went wild. So far, we know that Jisoo will be playing opposite to Jung Hae-in, as a college student in an all girls dormitory. Their characters are star-crossed lovers who meet during 1987, which is a very historical year in Korea.
As of the moment, the Snowdrop production team is still in the middle of filming. This means there will be more teasers of Jisoo and Jung Hae-In in the near future. For the meantime, let’s try to figure out what we can expect from the most awaited K-Drama of the year.
#1: Elegant fits from Dior
As all of us Blinks know, Jisoo is Dior’s Fashion and Beauty Ambassador since March 2021. She has been seen promoting their newest collections in multiple campaigns, as well as wearing their latest pieces on the red carpet. We hope to see a few of their archived pieces pop up in the period film that is meant to reference back to 1987.
#2: Visuals, visuals, visuals
The one thing we can definitely look forward to in the upcoming K-Drama is Jisoo’s amazing visuals. In Blackpink, YG Entertainment officially announced that Jisoo is the group’s visual (the most good looking member of the group). Usually in a girl group, their designated visual would step in to the world of K-Drama. An example of this is Suzy who was the former visual of Miss A.
#3: A couple dance sequence
In the newest teaser of Snowdrop, we see Jisoo and Jung Hae-in waltz in what seems like an open ballroom. We hope to see more performance sequences in the K-Drama, so there could be a spotlight for Jisoo’s talents developed in Blackpink. Hopefully, we’ll also be able to witness a song performance by Jisoo in one of the episodes in the series.
