The Miss Universe 2018 coronation night finally unveiled this year’s winner, and it’s no other than our very own Miss Philippines Catriona Gray. As we have been following her journey towards the special day, one would already realize upon seeing her posts that she’s indeed facing head-on the challenge to bring home the crown—one chic outfit at a time. Braving the cold breeze of the Big Apple, Catriona showed us how to strut the picturesque streets of New York en vogue. She donned a white ruffled ensemble by Jaggy Clarino and complemented it with LUV acrylic flamingo minaudière.
Since she was already in the city of dreams for the New York Fashion Week, Catriona struck a candid pose beside the ever-present traffic cones of the metropolis. But the best thing about this photo is that she easily outshone the industrial aesthetic of the city as she wore a Religioso jumpsuit.
When she arrived in Bangkok, Thailand for the first day of Miss Universe, Catriona effortlessly radiated the true sophistication of a Filipina. She wore Anthony Ramirez’ green bustier top and a wide leg trousers punctuated with a gold belt. To complement her look, she accessorized it with a Vida Lim gold shell earrings.
Exuding a vibrant positive energy, our Miss Universe Philippines 2018 sported a stunning fuschia power suit partnered with flare pants by Erwin Flores. Perhaps it’s safe to assume that this was a premonition that Catriona truly had a bright future ahead of her.
Finally, upon gracing the digital cover of MEGA for the month of December, Catriona Gray got fiercely beautiful. The moment she wore animal printed ensembles for her MEGA Cover, like this leopard tailored jumpsuit by Jag Guevarra, it only proved that she’s indeed a powerful contender for Miss Universe 2018.
Miss Universe 2018 coronation night will be on Monday, December 17 at Impact, Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok.
