Boracay is back to its old glory. Minus the repairs along the roads at the back of the island, the island is in pristine condition. It felt like going back in time to my first visit of the island as the shore is widened, the tourists are more responsible with their trash and the water is clearer than ever. And the cherry on top of this visit to the famed island is staying at The Lind. Here are five of the reasons why we loved the 5-star resort in Boracay Station 1:
1. The Infinity
This area houses the iconic Infinity pool of The Lind. Perfect for sunsets, the Infinity is the most unique event space in all of White beach. The boardwalk lined with cabanas, canopied terraces, and the infinity pool makes it the best place for a romantic dip or just sipping a cocktail overlooking the turquoise seas of Boracay.
2. Location
Staying at the very end of station 1 makes all the difference for people who just love to chill. Yes it is kind of far from all the energy of station 2, but The Lind has an hourly service that goes to and from D’Mall every hour. 3. Design
The modernity of the property impresses immediately as you enter the property. The lobby being at the second to the highest floor of the property, way above the beach level, gives you an amazing vantage point of the whole resort while checking in. The place is also spotless and compliments the beauty of the island and nature with the colors used as well as the beautiful interiors from the restaurants and pool area to the rooms
4. The Food
Always using the freshest ingredients, every dish in all the three restaurant options in the resort is a feast for all the senses. Make sure to try the seafood dishes because you can literally taste the freshness from each bite. Another personal favorite is the local fruit cocktails at the +36 bar. But the best dish you cannot miss is the Banana Foster Lava Cake. It literally tastes like heaven!
5. The Staff and Service
Everything considered the crowning glory and the beating heart of the Lind are their staff and the way they treat their guests. From the simple notes they leave on your bed after cleaning to the genuine smiles they give you at every interaction, the service is genuine and it just felt like we were with family—our home away from home.
