Your everyday makeup routine won’t cut getting that sunkissed, dewy skin, just-spent-the-day-by-the-shore face. If you’re getting ready to pack for that trip with your friends or family, it’s important to opt for beauty products that look work well with you skin and most importantly, won’t melt off or smear in the sun. 1. Supergoop! Glowscreen in Golden Hour

An effective skincare should deliver two things: a dewy glow and adequate sun protection. Supergroup! Glowscreen does both—this multi-purpose tinted sunscreen and face primer is buildable, applies incredibly well, and gives you a broad-spectrum protection against UV rays. Kyla tells MEGA Style that if she were to bring only one makeup item with her on vacation, it would be this: “One, it has SPF that gives my skin protection; two, it’s a tinted sunscreen that helps even out the skin tone; lastly, it just gives my face this bright-looking natural glow.” The translucent base rich in antioxidants and hydration complex come together to create a plump, smooth canvas, which gives you a more radiant and bright look that is perfect for the beachside.

2. Issy Active Concealer in PM3

“When I’m at the beach, I like to keep it simple, but at the same time, I don’t want to look dull,” Kyla shares with MEGA Style. “So I just like using this concealer to brighten the spots under my eyes.” Designed as an under-eye brightener and target concealer, this product blends effortlessly into the skin and has an all-day wear. It hydrates sensitive skin, provides medium to full coverage, and visibly brightens your face with a complex blend of antioxidants and humectants.

3. Sunnies Face Skin So Good in Palisander

Need something lightweight on the skin but delivers a soft matte finish that looks natural? Kyla recommends using this Sunnies Face multistick designed as a foundation, concealer, highlighter, and contour. “When I’m at the beach, it really gives me that added tan to my face,” she tells MEGA Style. “It’s so easy to blend because it melts onto your skin. It’s also super easy to use and the packaging is travel-friendly.”

4. Peripera Ink Mood Glowy Tint in Pink Prize

For a glossy, sheer, and long-lasting pop of color on your face, Kyla uses the Peripera Ink Mood Glowy Tint in the shade Pink Prize. The formula prevents the lips from drying out and keep it moisturized with a tint of color. It’s perfect if you’re spend the whole day by the beachside. “This has been my latest obsession since I discovered it at a pop-up in Makati, and now it’s my go-to lip product,” Kyla states. “It’s very long-lasting and I get to use it for my cheeks as well. The shade also gives such a natural blush effect perfect for sunkissed beach pics.”

5. Sunnies Face Skin So Good The Powder in Cassava

A powder that doesn’t feel like a powder? Count us in. Kyla recommends this as the perfect retouch powder with all-day oil control and a soft matte finish, plus its clean formulation allows it to be sweat humidity-resistant. “My skin is really oily in nature, so when I’m at the beach, it’s a lot more intense; I like to set my makeup and oil control with this product,” Kyla says. “The packaging is also super on-the-go and I like using the mirror while doing my makeup—very convenient when I’m in the car or on the plane.”

6. Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray

“A bit on the pricier side, but this really keeps my makeup together when I’m out and about in the summer,” the content creator reveals. This setting spray is lightweight and keeps your makeup intact for up to 16 hours without melting, fading, or settling into fine lines since it provides a flexible, breathable film across the skin when applied.

7. +ful Skin Sunscreen

This sunscreen from the local brand +ful Skin is the perfect combination of skincare and sun protection in one bottle. “It’s non-sticky and doesn’t leave a white cast,” Kyla shares with MEGA Style. “I also brought it with me when I went to Cebu and Singapore recently where it was so hot, I was constantly reapplying sunscreen. I loved how the packaging is so compact and leak-proof. I also use this for my back and arms when I wear a tank top.”

8. Johnson’s Milk+Rice Baby Lotion

Finally, Kyla recommends this baby lotion from Johnson’s to avoid dry skin. “I get a lot of compliments from people online, especially when I post at the beach in a bikini, that my skin looks makinis,” the content creator says. “I get asked how I get my skin to look that smooth, and the secret is that I hate the feeling of dry skin, so I always put on body lotion after showering. I’ve been using this baby lotion a lot lately in my past trips, so you’ll never catch me outside with dry skin.”

When under the summer heat, Kyla says she doesn’t mind not looking her best, but what’s important is that her skin feels good and protected. She further emphasizes this by saying that on vacation, if she were rushing, she’d pick skincare over makeup. “I believe that if your skin is well taken care of, it will look its best and won’t need much makeup,” she states.

Kyla’s specific travel skincare regimen is simple, as her priority is protection from exposure to the harsh sun: “I use the hyaluronic acid toner and moisturizer from +ful Skin, along with their sunscreen.” She reiterates the importance of supporting local businesses such as this brand, as having access to quality skincare and makeup products in the local market don’t necessitate the need to buy abroad. “I always try my best to keep my products locally sourced and cruelty-free,” she adds as a final word. So with just this routine, the content creator is ready to conquer whichever city or beach she’s at.
