Some people might think Bea is back in the game, but the truth is she never left. From the pandemic to the network change, the actress was tried and tested. But of course, she prevails.
Drama is her master genre. But this time, the narratives will retell stories of others. The pressure is on and the actress is always up for the challenge. With that, here’s what Bea has been working hard for so far:
1521: The Battle of Mactan
Adapting the historical battle in Cebu on the big screen, the movie stars Bea alongside Latino Hollywood actor Danny Trejo. According to movie producer Frances Lara Ho, the cast will also include Michael Copon (One Tree Hill), Hector David, Jr. (Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief), Costas Mandylor (Saw Franchise); and Filipina actress Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan.
The production is set in Palawan and will be released on theaters June 12, 2023.

The original Korean drama was a blockbuster not just in the homeland of the series but also in the Philippines. Bea stars as Dani Sison, the counterpart of the protagonist Seo Dal-mi. Meanwhile GMA heartthrob and stellar actor Alden Richards will play Tristan Hernandez aka Han Ji-Pyeong, famously known in the show as “Good Boy”.
