Easing its way into the Christmas spirit, ABS-CBN showed that there is true joy found in serving and helping others
Every time the holidays kick in, some traditions begin to unfold. From jolly tunes to fixing your gift shopping list, there are once-in-a-season moments that we hold on to. One of the long-established parts of all things merry and bright is ABS-CBN’s annual Christmas station ID.
This 2022, the network released its holiday track called “Tayo Ang Ligaya ng Isa’t-Isa.” The station ID featured the roster of Kapamilya stars including pairings Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin, Alexa Ilacad and KD Estrada, and Janella Salvador and Jane De Leon. Big stars of the network including Judy Ann Santos, Sharon Cuneta, Vice Ganda, and Coco Martin also took part.
The highlight of the station ID is the gift-giving segment, wherein the celebrities surprised different groups of people. Zanjoe Marudo and Janine Gutierrez hugged the camera staff as they received their goodies. Meanwhile, the cast of Darna joined the rescuers in a joyful salu-salo to celebrate their heroism. Giving tribute to her own character Ali from 2 Good 2 Be True, Kathryn and Daniel surprised a number of nurses as well.
Staying true to its mission—”In the service of the Filipino”—ABS-CBN chose to define Christmas as the season of finding joy through acts of selfless service.
