The collaboration between Casa Bella Home and Living and Jinggoy Buensuceso will inspire you to turn your home into a work of art
Curating the best furniture for your home is no easy task. Each homeowner has their own style, taste, and vision. There is no one-size-fits-all guide to fixing or sprucing up your own living space. If you want to personalize your abodes by adding accent pieces, artist Jinggoy Buensuceso and Casa Bella Home and Living have you covered.
dis/order, the artist’s exhibition in collaboration with the home furniture curator, is Jinggoy’s way of bringing the expanse of the universe into his pieces.
Order in disorder
“The universe is forever evolving and unfolding in an infinite sequence, which presents us with unfamiliar landscapes. This repeated occurrence becomes therapeutic to our body and soul such that this seemingly disrupted reality slowly becomes our chrysalis, our cosmos,” he explained.
For Stephanie Coyiuto of Casa Bella, seeing Buensuceso’s pieces in her friend’s homes piqued her interest with the artist and his works. “When I reached out to him, we realized that we had the same passion in connecting people to a world of design through different methods.” Hence, their collaborative exhibit.
After a year, the 24-piece collection eventually materialized in folded, powder-coated metals. As a true artist, Jinggoy specifically emphasized having the right headspace to properly curate the collection. “Solidifying a concept, executing it into a tangible piece, and finding the right balance of mind, heart, and soul is my biggest challenge. It’s about overcoming the uncertainty of how materials will work with the concept and putting your story and soul in every piece.”
Art in exhibition
Last month, guests gathered for an evening of appreciation and celebration of the collaboration between artists. Society personalities, guests, and celebrities attended the dis/order exhibition held at Jupiter Street Makati.
The vignette design courtesy of interior stylist Glenn Cuevo highlighted the craftsmanship of Buensuceso. This echoed the luxury and quality aesthetic of any Casa Bella furniture.
Jinggoy’s always collaborates with every client, especially for structures inside their homes. They are expressions of composition found in shared vision.
Furthermore, the sculptor emphasize this perspective. “I want them to feel their deeper connection with the cosmos and realize that they are made of stardust. They can traverse any door and rediscover their existence.”
The dis/order exhibition runs until December 18 at the Casa Bella showroom in 8 Jupiter Street, Makati City.
