According to reports, Black Knight is based on a webtoon titled Delivery Knight. The story is set in a 2071 era where pollution has become so severe that people can’t survive without the help of oxygen tanks. And this is where Kim Woo-bin’s portrayal of a courageous deliveryman will enter the picture. His character shares in the film’s teaser the attribute that a deliveryman must possess. “Deliverymen must be tough for they must risk their lives to protect their trucks from hunter attacks.”

Joining Woo-Bin’s troupe in the series is Taxi Driver’s Esom as part of the military and Melting Me Softly’s Kang You-Seok as one of the refugees.

Whether or not you’re not into on-screen deaths and fight scenes the hype is hard to ignore. This series will not only showcase visuals that will make you sit at the edge of your seat but it will also deliver a meaningful backstory of the characters. Without a doubt, its background storyline will leave the audience with remarkable lessons as this is what sets K-Drama apart in the entertainment realm.

As the tagline on the movie poster reads, “A world without order, a knight without law,” implying that the audience will experience a devastated future that could possibly be the world’s reality if many individuals still neglect their duties for environmental conservation.

Black Knight will premiere on Netflix this May 12.
