Find Out Why the NCT DoJaeJung Effect Lingers With Filipino NCTzens

By

Going beyond their buttery vocals and smooth grooves, NCT’s newest unit DoJaeJung recently visited the country to get up close and personal with their Filipino fans

Last weekend, NCT 127’s Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo gave their Filipino fans a sweet afternoon memory that they will remember forever. The media conference was an opportunity for the country’s NCTzens to get to know DoJaeJung on a deeper level. Likening this chance to their album’s title track “Perfume,” the fans were able to explore the different notes of DJJ’s scent—from getting to know each member better to seeing how they all three blend well together as a unit.

According to the youngest of the three, Jungwoo, they were happy and excited for the news. “To think that we would be performing as a new trio was very exciting for us,” he said in a translated response. “We got to stick to each other more.”

Apparently, it is not only the fans who are seeing a new side of each member as DoJaeJung are also going through the same thing with their newest subunit. Doyoung, according to both Jungwoo and Jaehyun, is a detailed member and likes swimming, as well as trying out delicious food.

Meanwhile, for Doyoung, both Jaehyun and Jungwoo shined in their unit because of their style. “I noticed this album allowed them to ‘wear’ the clothes or the musical styles that really fit them well,” noted.

The three members were also overwhelmed and grateful for the support of their fans, dedicating “Kiss” and “Strawberry Sunday” to the Czennies who took the time to grace their fan press conference. “I really want to recommend ‘Strawberry Sunday’ to all the fans because it’s such a bright and very rich song,” Jungwoo shared. Doyoung added, “I also recommend ‘Strawberry Sunday’ because the bright atmosphere of the Philippines matches the music itself.”

For Jaehyun, Manila reminds him of vanilla’s sweet code. “One thing’s in my mind—I think of the flavor [of] Vanilla. So sweet,” he mentioned.

With NCT DoJaeJung beginning to make their mark as a three-member group, they are looking forward to more stages and even a concert to showcase their all-around talents and skills. “It’s such an amazing feeling, so I hope there are more opportunities to come back more, so we can also express our love for you,” Jungwoo said it best.
