The Haus of Rena1ssance propelled the grand finale of LGBTQIA+ Pride Month with drag magnificence and queer revelry
The fantastic display of unity and solidarity among the LGBTQIA+ community in Cebu was more than just a celebration—it was purposeful. Pride’s powerful gathering to magnify queer voices and make their strong presence known was an important goal to let people in the area know that the community is thriving—a loud and colorful presentation of visibility where queer people will feel seen and less alone.

WACK 2 ignited a surge of empowerment and jubilation. The evening was an overspill of extraordinary talents by drag artists, charming the audience with their unique flavor and dazzling performances. The drag extravaganza was illuminated by Haus of Rena1ssance’s very own residents: Kat Phisheur, Ledda Marmalade, Letina Lyccah, Goergina Wales, Morpha, Theliara, Nathalia, Leslie Versace, Akiko Brown, and Soda Pop.
Rena1ssance’s Act III: Growth further emphasized the celebration as an amalgamation of self-acceptance, trans-awareness, honoring the triumph of the community, and embracing pride. It was a beautiful presentation of each artist’s different and unique journeys as they receive and accept growth wholeheartedly. The performance depicted beauty and transformation as represented by the enchanting symbol of the butterfly.
Haus of Rena1ssance and WACK are devoted to cultivating an inclusive space for the community in Cebu where they can connect. By doing so, they are establishing a sense of togetherness and unity that only ensures the blooming of more art and creating a more vibrant city that celebrates diverse backgrounds.
