The two main hosts of this year’s Miss Universe Philippines were dashing debonairs in their looks for the coronation night
Besides beauty, fashion has a special place in the world of pageantry. Both contestants and fans know that one fashion decision can make or break your performance. Of course, that also includes the hosts of the occasion. In last Saturday’s Miss Universe Philippines 2023 coronation night, Alden Richards and Xian Lim were definitely the men of the hour in their ensembles for the event.

Each gentleman donned two suits at the coronation night, complementing the outfit changes of the beauty queens as well. MEGA Man breaks down the different suits and styling that both Alden and Xian wore at the Miss Universe PH coronation night.
Xian’s gentleman style
To welcome the crowd at the event, the actor donned a bespoke, single-breasted Francis Libiran suit in a sharp purple color. The shade of choice made him stand out among the women who were wearing black ensembles during their first look on stage. Shades of violet have always been known to symbol regality and sophistication, which are two traits apt for the event of the night. Stylist Ton Lao kept Xian’s purple ensemble a solid and cohesive outfit by also opting for a button-down in the same shade.
Changing up his look for the second half of night, Xian went for a more muted but equally striking double-breasted suit from Mark Bumgarner. The tweed touch to the suit was a way to elevate the classic black and white male formal look. Xian also wore a velvet bow tie to soften the structure of the suit.
Alden’s debonair ensembles
For his first look of the night at the Miss Universe PH stage, Alden donned a double-breasted custom Francis Libiran suit with a silk shawl lapel. Adding more particularity into his looks, his stylists Maita Baello, Melville Sy, and Pat Pleno from Studio 24c opted for Christian Louboutin patent lace-ups with an embellished heel detailing.
Still keeping it classic and cool for his second look, the Miss Universe PH host wore black Christian Dior logo lapel blazer and J.M. Western leather shoes. The subtle detailing of his suit lapel carried the maison’s dainty luxuriousness in their pieces. Finishing Alden’s look that screamed opulence was his Jaeger Reverso timepiece with a gold detailing on the case.
