Not only is Alden Richards dominating the box office right now, but he’s also teeming the fashion industry with his latest collaboration with Avel Bacudio.
Following the successful collaborative denim capsule of Avel Bacudio with Matteo Guidicelli, a new celebrity collaboration is born. And this time it’s with Alden Richards featuring a limited edition athleisure wear called, “Avel x Alden.”
As their fashion collaboration is also in partnership with e-commerce platform Zilingo, all the pieces are definitely affordable. And unlike Avel’s previous collection with Matteo that focused on denim jeans, the renowned designer said they decided to create an athleisure line because it fits Alden’s style perfectly.
Hence, you’ll notice that the 80 piece collection offers a wide variety of jackets, tracksuits, pullovers, and joggers. As for the color scheme of their capsule, it’s dominated by maroon, black, navy blue, off-white, and gray.
According to Alden, the planning, conceptualizing, and designing process took them about a year and a half before it was good to launch. “Matagal talaga yung process na pinagdaanan… [but] with the right people that will push you to do things na akala mo di mo kaya, ay posible pala,” Alden shared.
But more than the collection per se, the Avel x Alden line will actually support blind children from the Northern Luzon Association in La Trinidad, Benguet. “With this collaboration, we go beyond providing affordable fashion options to our customers. We share the opportunity to contribute to the social fabric with the Northern Luzon Association for the Blind on-board as our beneficiary—a cause close to my heart,” Avel explained.
And this is why Zilingo knew that they made the right choice in partnering with Avel and Alden. Zilingo’s Marketing Director Ryza Dipatuan-Razo said, “inclusivity [has always been] part of our DNA.
