The night honored the country’s rich culture of fashion and art—a theme that is seamlessly integrated through a play on silhouettes, textures, and accents. And while it is expected that artfully done garments will front most of the headlines, the beauty moments are certainly one thing that cannot be missed.
And now that the night is about to come to a close, we look back at all the standout visuals we’ve spotted on the steps of the event.
The sexy slicked-back hair
It appears that sexy slicked-back hair is a popular beauty choice for the event. Take a look at Heart Evangelista as an example. The global fashion icon made a serious case for keeping the strands straight back. Another notable entry includes Apples Aberin. Her take? Incorporating the look to her signature micro-bob, which is surprisingly easy to achieve. Just blow dry the hair in a backward motion then apply a generous amount of gel or hairspray to retain hold.
The soft matte skin
Of course, the burgeoning soft-matte skin is felt in full force tonight. As mentioned previously, matte makeup has officially re-entered the mainstream beauty chat. The popular base finish has adapted to the current times with a version that renders a subtle and refined look. It’s matte, but illuminated. It’s opaque, but sheer.
