ICYMI: Andi Eigenmann’s little girl Lilo turned 2! And they had a totally on-brand way to celebrate her special day.
Andi took to Instagram to share that they held a “low-waste” party for Lilo with a small group of friends. Looking at the festivities and all the adorable decor, one wouldn’t know it’s environmentally friendly too.
“We celebrated her 2nd with a low-waste birthday party in [the] open air, with all her little island friends!” Andi had captioned. “Taking this as a chance to thank all those who celebrated with us there (and in spirit!) And of course to those who helped make this one for the books.”
Despite the lavish food and fun times, one can see the little details that the family opted with in order to make the smalles carbon footprint as possible. They used a karton for the cake table, tarpaulin cloth for the picnic area, and reusable banana leaves as plates.
Though we might think that being low-waste could take a lot of effort, Lilo’s party proves that it’s in the small and deliberate decisions that go a long way.
Add the stunning Siargao scenery and we’re sure the low-waste, beach themed party is the perfect way to celebrate for the clean-living Eigenmann-Alipayo family.
Aside from the little ways that the party was low-waste, there was also a tie-dye area prepared by Lilo’s big sister, Ellie, and an array of Lilo’s favorite food: fries and popcorn! Before the party, the family also started the day with pancakes and a paper crown for the adorable birthday queen.
Truly, you don’t need a huge grand party to have fun – and you can even help the environment while you’re at it.
