Two in one

Together with their fellow child actor Zaijan Jaranilla, they will bring their acting chops to the next level with Senior High. The teen series revolves around the curious and adventurous demeanor of exploring young adults. Based on the teaser, their clique will definitely test the limits during this stage in their lives. Aside from Blythe, Xyriel, and Zaijan, other stars such as Kyle Echarri, Juan Karlos, Tommy Alejandrino, Gela Atayde, and Elijah Canlas will join their pack.

In a post shared by one of the lead stars, Gela, the cast went on a beach trip together with their other friends. Joining the clique were also co-actors in the show like Angel Aquino and Sylvia Sanchez, as well as director Andoy Ranay.

Back in the day

The actresses’ friendship started in their childhood days with their joint guestings, endorsements, and commercials. Over the years, even though Xyriel took a respite from showbiz, the two have maintained their bond. For Andrea’s birthday last year, Xyriel joined the former in her production number. “Isa po siya sa pinakamatatag na taong kilala ko. I’m really proud of you kung gaano kalayo and kung gaano kaganda ‘yung narating mo.”

Starting young in the industry, both actresses gained the praises of the audience with their previous projects. The Drag You and Me star showed her acting prowess in Analiza, rubbing elbows with the industry’s older actors such as Denise Laurel, Zanjoe Marudo, and Kaye Abad. Meanwhile, the younger actress starting honing her craft by playing the “younger” counterpart of Coney Reyes in 100 Days to Heaven.

Twice the talent

In the span of their individual careers, the two actresses have shown their ability to captivate viewers with their acting skills. Blythe, spending more time in the spotlight during the past years, has dabbled into mostly dramatic roles such as playing Lia in the 2015 remake of Pangako Sa’yo. She continued to show her prowess as Marga Mondragon Bartolome in Kadenang Ginto, where her bida-kontrabida acting chops further solidified her place in the industry.

Meanwhile, Xyriel made a powerful television comeback in Dirty Linen as Tonet, an animated and multidimensional character in the series. Throughout the run of the show, netizens have been praising the rising star for her natural portrayal of the role, especially with her facial expressions. With a talent like hers who effectively played the younger Andi Eigenmann in Agua Bendita, it is no surprise that the FAMAS awardee has so much more up on her sleeve.

Fans of the two are already excited on how the story of Senior High will unfold, as well as the roles they will play. Whether they will also be friends in the series or play as rivals, both Andrea and Xyriel will surely give us a performance to remember. As part of the established and acclaimed batch of young artists from Star Magic, they are indeed the future of the show business industry.
