If there is anything that makes Blythe stand out from the rest of her contemporaries, it is her daring courage. From her project choices to her sartorial moves, the actress and it-girl in the making enjoys the thrill and adventure of fresh looks and new chapters in her life. And at last night’s Opulence Ball, Blythe once again delivered a head-turning statement costume as Lilith.

The power Halloween move

According to stylist Eldzs Mejia, the actress put much thought into her final Halloween look this year. “When we got the theme of gods and goddesses, Blythe immediately came up with Lilith as an inspiration. From there, we built who [would be] the best people who could help us achieve the overall look. We booked makeup special effects artist Drian Bautista and [designer Lauren Vito] in advance,” he revealed.

Expressing the thrill of delivering back-to-back looks with the Senior High star, Mejia added, “This is such a hectic season! Parties are everywhere. But it’s really fulfilling to serve different looks almost everyday.”

As a creative himself, the stylist also shared his own thoughts on curating a standout Halloween look. “A solid idea is really the key. Make sure to get [the right people] who can translate your look. A shock factor is always needed, especially when you enter parties.”

With that piece of advice from her stylist, Andrea made sure to bring her own shock factor at the Opulence Ball—a real-life python.

An empowering ensemble

In an exclusive interview, Blythe shared why she brought a snake to the ball. “‘Yun kasi ‘yung look ko, eh, si Lilith. [She] is the first wife of Adam. Nabanish siya sa Garden of Eden kasi ayaw niyang magsubmit kay Adam.”

Wearing a Lauren Vito design with black abstract lashes embellishing the piece, the actress elevated her costume through her beauty look as well. For her makeup, she opted for glove-like paint on her hands, arms, and chest. Completing her embodiment of Lilith, she also added some horn effects on her face and with her headpiece, courtesy of Ryan Lising.

On Instagram posted by the 20-year-old, a short clip retold the figure’s story. “Banished from Eden, she wouldn’t fold. A rebel spirit, she defied her fate, Lilith’s legacy, forever untamed,” the accompanying voiceover by Inka Magnaye narrated. According to historical folklore, Lilith challenged God’s will by refusing to lay with Adam as they were created equal. Wanting to gain independence, she fled the Garden of Eden.

Ending her conversation with MEGA Entertainment, Andrea Brillantes shared the virtues that she wanted to carry as a goddess. “Goddess of resilience, I think, because I am resilient. Goddess of strength [din] siguro, and empathy.”
