Although one actress arrived in a piece that marries both past and modern fashion together, creating an aura of grace everywhere she went—much like the aura Daphne Bridgerton had on the original Netflix series. With the right touch of class and extravagance, Andrea Brillantes was very much like a stunning diamond last night as she weaved through the crowd in her crystal embellished piece designed by Michael Leyva.
The fashion of the 1800s gave the design a timeless look to it. From the bustier that accentuated her torso to the sleek skirt that fell elegantly on her legs—a simple silhouette that amplified the elegance of the piece. Another detail that we must include is the square sleeves—an option mostly used back in the 1800s alongside the dainty puff sleeves.
To balance out the classics, the piece was translated with such modernity with Michael Leyva’s signature embellished style. The pattern of the embellishments on the bustier gave Andrea’s look an alluring twist as delicate tiers of crystals made their way down the skirt of the piece. The square straps were elevated with the tassels of crystals that fell elegantly on her shoulders. And the finishing touch of her look was the white billowy cape that started from her elbows, which then ended with a train—giving her the right amount of drama for prom.
The actress also tried on another dress despite not being able to see it on the night of prom. Posted by Michael Leyva, Andrea was seen fitting a striking blue gown embellished with crystals from the neckline to the hem. A simple square neckline gave the spotlight to the subtle change of hues and the feathered appliques seen on the skirt. And while the piece veers towards flamboyance, we definitely wouldn’t have minded if the actress had a quick vibrant outfit change during the event.
