Get up close and personal with the Singing Sweetheart of Siargao, Anji Salvacion, where she talks about dreams, faith, and her budding career
With her undeniable talent, fierce determination, and unwavering faith, Anji Salvacion is a force to be reckoned with because this rising star is about to take the entertainment world by storm.
Born and raised in Siargao, Anji was exposed to the limelight at a young age. Her mother supported her dreams by encouraging her to join local beauty pageants and auditions, and it wasn’t long before Anji realized that performing was her true passion.
An unexpected turn of events
Anji started her career in the performing arts by taking dance classes, but quickly expanded to acting and singing as well. She honed her skills by performing in talent shows and local productions, and eventually, her dedication paid off when she entered the Pinoy Big Brother House and came out victorious as Kuya’s Big Winner.
“I never really expected anything when I went inside Kuya’s house. But yes, it did change my life drastically. PBB opened doors of opportunities for my career, and with that, I was able to help my family. I’m just so thankful and will be forever grateful to PBB and, of course, to God for all the blessings I have right now. Through PBB, I was blessed with beautiful souls, my Sunshines,” shared Anji.
Since then, Anji has been steadily building her career in the entertainment industry. She has appeared in several TV shows and music videos, and has even released her own music. Her single, “Dalampasigan,” has already amassed thousands of streams on various music platforms, and has earned her a devoted fanbase.
Stepping into the spotlight
While things are already going great for the reality show alum, Anji is not keen on stopping any time soon. She is eager to take on bigger and more challenging roles, and is constantly pushing herself to improve her craft. She shared, “To be honest, I still have a lot to learn and work on as a singer and as an artist in general. Experimenting with a new style of singing and working with a voice coach would be beneficial in order to improve. I know that I’m just starting my journey toward achieving my goals for both my career and my personal life.”
When asked who she would like to work with in the future, Anji didn’t hesitate to name Enrique Gil. “There’s a lot on my mind, but one in particular is Enrique Gil,” she said. “I hope I get a chance to collaborate with him on an acting project in the future.” It’s easy to see why Anji is interested in working with Enrique. The Filipino actor and dancer is known for his talent, charisma, and good looks, and has been a fan favorite for years. We can only imagine the kind of magic the two of them would create together onscreen.
Currently, Anji is busy taping for an upcoming series called LINLANG, which is her first notable acting project. “I feel so honored to be working with veterans and, of course, Ms. Maricel Soriano,” she said. Maricel Soriano is a legend in the Philippine entertainment industry, with a career spanning decades. Working alongside her is a dream come true for Anji, and she’s excited to learn as much as she can from the veteran actress.
More than a dream
It goes without saying that Anji has big dreams for her artistic career. “Having a concert with a live audience is one of them, and to release a song and album internationally,” she said. “It may sound ambitious, but there is nothing wrong with dreaming big with unwavering faith in God.”
Anji’s faith is an important part of her life, and it’s clear that it has played a significant role in her journey so far. She believes that with faith, anything is possible. And for the up-and-coming starlet, it’s not just about achieving success in her career, but also about making a positive impact in the world.
“What would be your advice to those who look up to you?” we asked, and Anji had some powerful words of wisdom to share. “First, to the dreamers out there: dreams really do come true. All you need to do is take the first step towards achieving your dreams. Remember that only you can bring justice to your dreams—just have faith in yourself and [have] faith in God.”
Anji’s advice is simple but powerful. She believes that with hard work, perseverance, and faith, anyone can achieve their dreams. But she didn’t stop there. “Second, always choose to love and be kind, even when it hurts,” Anji said. “Choose to show compassion and love to people at all times, even when they can’t reciprocate it. And most importantly, always spread love and kindness.”
Anji’s success is not just due to her talent and faith—it’s also because of her unwavering determination. She disclosed that she is willing to put in the hard work and long hours required to succeed in the entertainment industry. As she put it, “I know I still have a long way to go as an artist, and I’ve learned that you weren’t born to please everyone, [and] to believe in yourself because if you don’t, who will? [I also have] to be grateful for everything, and most importantly, to never give up.”
So watch out, world—Anji Salvacion is ready to take center stage. With her talent, faith, and determination to make all of her dreams a reality, she is poised to become the next big thing in show business.
