From exclusive commissioned projects to The Met, Art Fair Philippines just got bigger and stronger this year.
For the past years, Art Fair Philippines has been in every enthusiast’s annual customs. There simply isn’t a better place to celebrate and appreciate art than this. So as a new year opens, #ArtFairPH goes bigger for their 7th edition. Bringing together not only local artistry but also international flair in one special event, this year’s #ArtFairPH may be the best yet. To guide you through the event, here are a few things you can expect at the fair:
Special Projects
Various artists will come together to showcase their creations at ARTFAIRPH/PROJECTS. Having made an impact to critics and in the commercial scene, this section will exhibit not only local but also international artists in the roster.
Galleries
This year #ArtFairPH brings together leading galleries in the Philippines and 16 international galleries from Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, and Taiwan to showcase curated exhibitions from local and foreign visual artists.
Photography
To support photography as contemporary art, fairgoers will also get to enjoy this at #ArtFairPH. On its second year, ARTFAIRPH/PHOTO also aims to expand its collectability among Filipinos.
10 Days Of Art
During the fair, the Makati Central Business District will be bustling with a series of events involving galleries, museums, bars, restaurants, and retail establishments. With 10 Days of Art, celebrate art beyond the walls of the venue with this initiative.
The Met
The fair isn’t, of course, complete without ARTFAIRPH/TALKS. This year, they are bringing a curator and educator from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Kathy Galitz. In partnership with National Book Store, Galitz will be discussing her book Masterpiece Paintings at The Met that features the most iconic works in The Met collection. She will be sharing her knowledge and insights on the art scene to local enthusiasts.
