The idea of sharing beauty routines is similar to having backstage access to one’s beauty life. For this story, we are putting a spotlight on MEGA beauty experts Agoo Bengzon, Mia Castro, and Mara Go. We sat down and explored their best-kept office makeup routines and products that are non-negotiable to their kit.
Agoo Bengzon, Beauty Director
A solid skincare regimen is at the heart of Agoo Bengzon’s office day makeup routine. “It begins with a thorough skin regimen: micellar water, foaming cleanser, toner or emulsion, serum, cream, oil, SPF, and eye cream,” she detailed. “I usually wait a few minutes for the skin care products to be absorbed, then I begin to apply my makeup which consists of a primer, foundation, concealer, setting powder, bronzer, blush, brow pencil, brow gel, lip balm, lipstick (usually topped with a gloss), and occasionally eyeliner (preferably winged), then a setting spray.”

Mia Castro’s approach to everyday office day makeup is an equal balance of skin-focused and playful. “My main priority is my base. I do this by taking time with skincare prep and using lightweight tints, concealer, and blush on top,” she explained. And as for the fun? “When it comes to lips, that’s where I like to play around. One day I could be wearing a glossy nude lip. Next, I’m going from meeting to meeting with a bold red pout.”

Skincare is deeply entailed in my everyday beauty ritual. It starts with a gentle cleanser, hydrating toner, plumping serum, lightweight day cream, and of course, sun protection. Pro beauty tip: Allot time to let the products sink into and through the skin — a perfect phase to take a breather, build an outfit, or do hair. Once that is accomplished, I proceed with my makeup. The format? A radiant and soft-matte base, honey-washed lids, and a pop of color and gloss.
