Queens from both seasons of Drag Race Philippines and ultra-sickening local talents join forces to celebrate Baksilog’s first birthday!

What’s better than a good ‘ol Filipino breakfast? Well, add a flavor of queer entertainment and high spirits, and you get Baksilog—a portmanteau of baklaan, sinangag, and itlog. Sunday brunches at Tipsy Pig in Tomas Morato were elevated with the fantastic inclusion of drag. The drag brunch is the inaugural project of Adonis Productions, led by Adrian Sevilla and a team of creative minds committed to creating venues for queer artists. “Baksilog continues to bring the fun and entertainment to fans, friends, and families and hopes to keep this up for many more years to come,” the production house said.

The early birds were already rocking birthday party hats, adding more flair to the already celebratory atmosphere of eager fans. Buknoy, the host, then came dashing down the stairs with energy that whisked us away to a world of fun—the good times kept rolling in!

The Filipina chanteuse serenaded the Baksilog audience with a classic queer anthem, “Can’t Take That Away,” followed by the singer’s annually-charting song, “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” Yes, on a hot September day, because why the hell not?

Drag Race Philippines season 1 winner Precious Paula Nicole brought us to Club Renaissance by performing a medley of songs from Beyoncé’s queer-thumping album. The drag brunch crowd received free shots to celebrate Baksilog’s birthday with a toast led by the DRPH queen.
