Nowadays, we all seem to look back and Bally puts its best foot forward by bringing back four of its classic silhouettes namely the Super Smash, the Vita Parcours and two cult favorites, the Galaxy and the Competition.
Bally has been making sneakers way back since the 30s, with a myriad of styles beginning from tennis shoes, sporty runners, golf shoes and plimsolls. The brand was also renowned in the mid-80s in the hiphop scene, making it a favorite among rappers and sports stars.
THE COMPETITION
A cult favorite, the Competition was a hit in the 80s. 30 years after its introduction, the silhouette remains iconic and stands the test of time. The rehash stays true to 1983, but the angular sole and curved toe channel 2018.
THE SUPERSMASH
The Super Smash is the oldest among the retro sneakers, originally designed to withstand the gritty streets of the Bronx, making it a favorite among the b-boys and b-girls who would take out their boomboxes and free style to the beats of 80s rappers Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh.
VITA PARCOURS
The Vita Parcours is an urban-friendly shoe, that retains its iconic checkerboard motif since its production in 1974, keeping its nostalgic spirit intact. Its high-top structure and modernized sole makes them ideal for weekend escapades in the city and comes in a variation of hues both for men and women.
THE GALAXY
The Galaxy is the lightest sneaker that Bally has ever made due to its original lightweight, treaded rubber sole and breathable modern cotton canvas upper. Much like the Milky Way, the Galaxy keeps on spinning and remains the cult sneaker it always has been. View photos from Bally’s Spring/Summer 2018 Campaign below:
