Dominic made sure to listen and did the proposal the way the actress always wanted it to happen in real life
After stirring engagement rumors this year, Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque finally made it real! In an Instagram collaboration post of the two, the actress wrote about the photoshoot-turned-proposal that happened just yesterday afternoon at Las Casas.

“Little did I know that the next thing that would happen would change our lives forever,” the newly-engaged celebrity began. According to her caption, she recalled how friend and photographer Mark Nicdao made her turn around supposedly to capture her dress. However, Dominic was already kneeling and ready for his speech.
Bea added, “You see, I have done so many proposal scenes in my entire career, but nothing beats the real thing. Everything went in slow motion. And I felt different emotions all at the same time—joy, excitement, love. I started bawling, but I didn’t want that moment to end. I want this real thing to happen forever…and right then there…in front of the people we love…we decided on forever.”
Before officially becoming a couple, the two started out as friends through Vice Ganda who used to tease Dom about the actress, who was actually his happy crush. In one of Bea’s vlogs, she also revealed that while they officially became a couple in January 2021, their platonic relationship became romantic in November 2020.
In Bea’s last interview with host Boy Abunda, she shared that they would openly talk about marriage. The actress also mentioned that she would tease Dom about doing the proposal in their upcoming trips to Japan and Madrid. “Dapat maganda ako sa proposal mo!” she would tell him.
Indeed, Dominic listened to her request not just for the proposal, but also in what she wanted in a life partner—someone who supports her and her dreams. “I love my life with him,” Bea smiled with contentment as she said these words to the host.
