Of course, artistic excellence doesn’t stop there–beauty looks are also a big factor in contributing to a collection’s success. Here are our top picks from day 1 of MFF:
1. Jaz Cerezo
The color pink definitely stood out when it came to this collection’s beauty look. Models were given a pink lip and a pink blush on the cheekbones. This was paired with a messy low bun.
2. Rob Ortega
Spotted at the Rob Ortega show was a dewy glow all over. In addition to your typical highlight points, it was refreshing to see areas such as the chin and forehead highlighted as well. Hair, on the other hand, was pinned back to add to the freshness of the look.
3. Dak Bonite
Dak Bonite’s fun collection celebrated individuality, and the same can be said for the beauty look. Models sported their natural hair textures while there were bright pops of colors on their eyes and lips.
4. Mark Tamayo
To match the raw, animalistic vibe of the collection, models sported a bronzy glow, smoky eye shadow and dark eyebrows. This was paired with slicked back hair.
5. Jun Escario
At the Jun Escario show, what really stood out, beauty-wise, was the eye makeup. Gradient purple eye shadow was applied and topped off with shimmery blue highlight on the inner corner of the eyes. To contrast this, the rest of the face was kept bare and hair was simple and sleek.
