Apart from Liza Soberano, TikTok star Bella Poarch also wore a modern terno to the Gold Gala to represent her Filipino roots
Alongside her fellow Filipino creatives, Bella Poarch made an appearance at the Gold Gala in Los Angeles, where Asians were honored for their craft in both movie and television. And while Bella Poarch started her influence on TikTok, there’s no doubt that her reach went beyond that as she continues to make her presence known in various mediums.

If there’s one thing that is very much consistent in Bella’s fashion, it’s her continuous nod to her Filipino roots. She does this once more at the Gold Gala as her stylist, Nikko Panti, takes us behind the inspiration of her ensemble.
A style that has such ruggedness mixed with modernity, Nikko made sure not to sway too far from the classic look by incorporating it with a designer that has a knack for creating trendy ternos. Though the piece is not custom, Nikko tapped Hannah Adrias, the Gold winner of TernoCon in 2020, to put together a look for the viral social media star. Additionally, Bella also had a gold siren Neil Fellip clutch with her to the star-studded event.
This particular look has the right balance of edge and softness. The terno features various cutouts that went along the bodice while the butterfly sleeves were finished with folds. Hannah softened the look by adding gold detailing peeping through cutouts and drapings. To finish it off, the blue skirt had a delicate fall to it and it’s even seen peeping from the bodice.
