Undeniably, she embodies beauty and charm but another standout feature of Belle is her well-accentuated lips. With this in mind, we tapped her favorite makeup artist to share the story behind some of Belle’s best lip looks.
Naming the Artist
Jake Galvez has made his name in the fashion and beauty industry. After completing his professional and fashion makeup studies abroad, he pursued his craft through creative editorial shoots. Over the years, he garnered an impressive roster of muses, such as Kim Chiu, Chienna Filomeno, Yassi Pressman, and Andrea Brillantes.
“The lip color choice is very important in any look. It will make or break your look,” he shares “But when in doubt, go for a nude pink shade that is universally suited for any motif,”. Jake also reveals that in finding the best lip shade, he always coordinates and aligns it well with the entire outfit and hairstyle.
A List Of His Favorite Things
Makeup artists are mostly well acquainted with the latest trends in the beauty sphere. For Jake, the “Gym Lips” definitely captured his attention. “I’m currently obsessed with it!” he shares “To achieve it, you need to use a lip liner in the same color as your lips. Overline it to make it bigger and top it with your favorite clear gloss. I usually use Dior’s Lip Glow Oil for this to get a natural finish. “
Alongside that, the makeup artist also shared his favorite lip products “My top 3 lip products in my kit would be Guerlain KissKiss Bee Glow Honey Tint Balm, Charlotte Tilbury in Pillow Talk and Tom Ford lipstick in Casablanca.”
On Creating Belle’s Look
Belle is growing to become a beauty chameleon “She’s becoming a young trendsetter and we always make sure that we do looks that are original or we’ve never done before,” Jake shares. “Belle also likes experimenting with makeup looks! She gets really excited, especially if we create performance looks or editorial looks”
The makeup artist also described her look as youthful and trendy “I get a lot of inspiration from the Thai or Korean beauty styles of makeup, which are polished yet still fun.”
Belle’s Lip Focus
As mentioned before, any look would not be complete without a lip color.
