BLACKPINK members Lisa, Jisoo, Rosé, and Jennie are all furthering their solo careers. What can we expect from them?
After years of sticking as one group, there comes a time when members grow and discover their individual sounds. That doesn’t meant they’re no longer solid as one unit, though; case in point, BLACKPINK. Going past the seven-year itch and onto their eighth year, Jennie, Rosé, Jisoo, and Lisa are hitting the pause for group activities for now, focusing on their respective solo careers. For the Blinks who need some catching up on what they’re up to, here are BLACKPINK’s individual activities as of the moment.

Lisa
The group’s main dancer takes her energy into her solo tracks, releasing back-to-back songs. From “Rockstar” to “New Woman” that she performed at the recent 2024 VMAs, her next single “Moonlit Floor” has come out. This time around, she’s exploring her sweet side sampling Sixpence None the Richer’s “Kiss Me”—a twist to her trademark alpha female energy. According to fans, she is allegedly singing about her rumored boyfriend, Frédéric Arnault.
Jennie
Fresh from her blonde appearance at the Chanel show in Paris Fashion Week, Jennie wastes no time to time in going “solo-lo-lo-lo,” as her first single sings. After launching her own record label Odd Atelier, she is bound to release her upcoming single, “Mantra,” on October 11.
Rosé
BLACKPINK’s main vocalist started her solo career in 2021 with her debut single album entitled R. Three years after, she is making a comeback in December with a full album of 12 tracks—written and produced by Rosé herself. She also recently signed with Atlantic Records, sharing the label’s roster of talents including Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Lizzo, and more.
Jisoo
As BLACKPINK’s visual, it’s no wonder why Jisoo has been gracing numerous fashion campaigns and shows—the Dior S/S 25 in Paris Fashion Week as of late. Before the group formally announced their individual activities, the K-Pop artist already starred in the series Snowdrop. Further grounding her actress roots, she has been casted for the lead role of the upcoming zombie outbreak series Newtopia. Jisoo will also be making her big screen debut with Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint opposite Lee Min-ho and Ahn Hyoseop. The film is an adaptation of the webtoon published in 2018.
