After being revealed as MAC Cosmetics’ global ambassador last year, Lisa is finally going to release her own makeup line with the brand
After breaking records left and right with her solo debut, Blackpink’s Lisa is set to break another milestone as she’s about to release her first makeup line with MAC Cosmetics. Last October 2020, Lisa was appointed as one of the global ambassadors of the beloved beauty brand, and the first K-Pop artist to do so. On Wednesday, the cosmetics company announced on its social media accounts that the Thai music sensation will soon release a makeup collection with them. According to MAC Cosmetics, the upcoming new collection is: “Designed by LISA. Created by M·A·C. Exclusively for you. Featuring all her favourite products – plus all-new shades inspired by what she loves most – Lisa’s first-ever M·A·C collection is coming soon… #MACLovesLISA.”
Lisa shared what she loves about MAC saying, “I have always been a big fan of MAC! I like how the brand turns makeup into a form of self-expression, which always gives me great confidence on stage. Together with MAC, I am excited to invite and empower more audiences as we both have individuality and diversity at our core.”
In return,Drew Elliott, the senior vice president and global creative director for MAC, explained in a statement on why they picked the Blackpink member,“Lisa’s unparalleled talent and bold, fashion-forward style make her the perfect match for MAC.” Lisa’s confident and never shy away from risks, she’s really the embodiment of individuality and self-expression making her upcoming collaboration all the more worthy of anticipation.
