Bretman’s unintentional twinning with these past soap opera characters definitely exude main character energy realness!
There is no more questioning that Bretman Rock wears his Filipino badge loud and proud. Imagine welcoming him as a guest of honor in a room, only to find yourself entranced by his natural hospitality with the way he welcomes every individual with respect and grace. Embodying the same courage and action-wielded response of our national heroes, he makes his stance loud and clear on issues in the country and the world.

Indeed, Bretman is a true Filipino, and this even rubs off in the way he dresses. In his recent trip to the Philippines, the baddest of them all even gave us a blast from our women-centric series from the past. With that, we give you the different ways the singer-songwriter-actor-actress-athlete-activist channeled our primetime personas.
Marimar in the flesh
From the first Marimar in the shoes of Mexican actress Thalia until the adaptations that Marian Rivera and Megan Young starred in, the iconic shell string top was always in the picture. Going the extra mile as expected in his Leo side, Bretman did his own take of the style by incorporating rose quartz in his body jewelry courtesy of Grete Henriete. As a believer of energies and auras, the main star of “Crystal of the Day” keeping his stones close must be doing wonders for him.
Darna’s bato in life
Let’s face it—it’s always the transformed superhero that we tend to appreciate more than its first form, the regular human being. But with the content creator’s Vogue Philippines Anniversary Gala look, we can’t help but attribute the white Rajo Laurel number into the glowing stone that makes our iconic Filipino character, Narda, become the heroine Darna. Always advocating to change for the better, Bretman was a glowing presence at the gala as one of the personalities who changed the landscape of entertainment, lifestyle, beauty, fashion, and a lot more industries.
Rosalinda in bloom
For his third look, Bretman did his own take of the classic telenovela icon Rosalinda, complete with her floral accessory. Taking this style to his own hands, though, the superstar opted for a ruffled jellyfish dress from Raf Villas and a fresh gumamela tucked in his ear. Commanding more presence his way, we’re sure he did turn heads when be donned this whole ensemble in Palawan.
Dyesebel in denim
When asked in an interview about the figures he looked up to growing up, the content creator mentioned Anne Curtis as a mermaid. In true sirena fashion but with a Bretman twist, he wore a denim Blumarine two-piece set by the beach. The trumpet silhouette of the deconstructed skirt resembled a mermaid tale, fitting for Bretman who can pass as a mythical creature with his magnetic energy.
