After a month of speculation.

Ever since Dreamscape Entertainment announced that there will be a local rendition of the BBC hit show Dr. Foster (which inspired the popular Korean drama The World of the Married), the Internet has gone wild with theories.

ICYDK, Dr. Foster follows a family medicine doctor who finds out that her husband has been cheating on her with a younger woman. It’s a gripping plotline that’s sure to get everyone on the edge of their seats whether or not they’re a fan of the original show.

With those big shoes to fill, here’s the official main cast list of the Filipino remake of The World of the Married,  officially called The Broken Marriage Vow.

Jodi Sta. Maria – Dra. Jill Ilustre

Serving as one of the fan favorites since the local rendition was announced, Jodi is set to portray the main character herself, Dr. Ji Sun-woo, a strong but scorned woman who seeks justice from her adulterous husband.

Jodi has had her fair share of projects in the pandemic amid her schooling, such as the 2020 primetime teleserye Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin.

Zanjoe Marudo – David Ilustre (The Husband)

Rocking the bad boy look that comes with the role, Zanjoe is set to portray Lee Tae-oh, or the cheating husband that leads Dr. Ilustre to her twisted turn of events.

Zanjoe has also been keeping busy in the film 366 directed by Bela Padilla.

Sue Ramirez – Lexy Lucero (The Mistress)

Who could resist Sue Ramirez? The indie darling lands the coveted role of Yeo Da-kyung, or the young woman that brings the marriage of Dra. Jill and David to hell.

Zaijian Jaranilla – Gio Ilustre (The Son)

Zaijian is back! Serving as his showbiz comeback since portraying the adorable Santino in the 2009 series May Bukas Pa, the 19-year old actor will now get his acting chops tested as Gio, the lone child of the Dra. Jill and David.

Jane Oineza – Diane Riagon (The Spy)

Every hurt woman needs a confidante. Jane Oineza’s Min Hyun-seo consistently lends a hand to Dra. Jill as she helps her seek out the truth to her withering marriage.

Other cast members include:

Joem Bascon – Enzo Tierra (The Boyfriend)

Art Acuña – Fred Lucero (Lexy’s Father)

Rachel Alejandro – Nathalia Lucero (Lexy’s Mother)

Empress Schuck – Grace Jimenez

Ketchup Eusebio – Charlie Manansala

We’re sure they’ll all give the show justice!
