Taehyung of BTS gracefully embraces another milestone as he partners with Cartier, bringing together artistic brilliance and timeless sophistication
Korean Pop star Taehyung of BTS, better known as V, has been named Cartier’s newest global ambassador, proving that he and his bandmates are the current favorite muses of the fashion industry. The Korean A-lister has been chosen to be the face of the luxury brand’s Panthère de Cartier campaign.
In this exciting campaign, V dons the sculptural diamond ring, panther bracelet, and Révélation d’une Panthère watch that make up the iconic Panthère line.
Cartier’s Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Arnaud Carrez, said in a press release that V was chosen because he perfectly encapsulated the spirit of the brand’s latest campaign. “We naturally selected V in order to express a panther’s charm and aura. V, who is overflowing with individuality and a powerful aura, will make decisions driven by his creativity as a dancer, musician, and art lover, and he will showcase a style of his own as well as his grace,”he mentioned.
V is the second member of BTS to sign on as a jewelry ambassador, following in the footsteps of bandmate Jimin. Although many were taken aback by the news, BTS’ fans had long suspected that the idol was fond of the brand, even before the endorsement was made public. It can be recalled that when BTS’ Jin attended the premiere of the thriller film Hunt, he wore a watch that looked strikingly similar to the one V wore when he went to Paris. At the send-off for J-Hope before he began his military service, Taehyung was also seen sporting a Cartier Tank vermeil watch.

Proving that he is a true connoisseur of style, this is the second luxury brand for which the Korean A-lister has served as an ambassador, the first being Celine.
Taehyung is the newest Cartier ambassador from Asia, joining the likes of Jisoo of BLACKPINK, Jackson Wang of Got7, and Gong Li from China.
