Burn Off Your Christmas Calories With These At-Home Workout Routines

Take your pick among these four simple at-home workout routines to complete your 30-day fitness challenges this January

Now that the new year is well underway, the fitness influencer-approved 30-day challenges are, too. Prime examples of this are Blogilates’ good mood challenge, as well as Marvin Brooks and Brandon Espiritu’s four-step 30-day challenges. While all three challenges emphasize the importance of mental wellness, they also call for increased exercise, so to help you along the way, here are four simple workout routines you can follow at home. Not only are these easy to follow, beginner-friendly, and effective, but they also require nothing more than activewear and a mat to accomplish.

Chloe Ting’s 2023 weight loss challenge

Fitness phenom Chloe Ting is back with another weight loss challenge for the new year. This year’s program is six episodes long and stretches across four weeks to ultimately help you burn calories through full-body workouts. In the first episode, she does three sets and 18 exercises over the course of 15 minutes, beginning with a squat slam and ending with stepping jacks. The next two episodes are already out, with the second focusing on abs and the third focusing on booty and legs.

The Body Coach TV’s 20-minute fat-burning bodyweight workout

If a four-week program isn’t your cup of tea, you can instead go for The Body Coach’s 20-minute workout routine. This specific routine is composed of 20 different exercises, starting with jogging on the spot and ending with burpees. The 20 minutes are also divided into 40 seconds of work and 20 seconds of rest.

Lilly Sabri’s 2023 pilates body challenge

If you’re interested in doing full-body workouts everyday but have little time in between work and family time to do them, Lilly Sabri’s 12-minute pilates routine is perfect for you. Intended to burn fat, this at-home total body workout is packed with intensive upper-body and lower-body exercises.

Well+Good’s 8-minute full-body workout

The last workout routine on this list is an even more time-efficient one. In only eight minutes, Well+Good trainer Elisabeth Akinwale helps you build up your endurance and trains your breath work and coordination. This easy-to-follow workout routine has only three rounds and five moves per round, beginning with the inchworm and ending with deep lunges.
