At the season’s finale live viewing party, Captivating Katkat was named the Drag Superstar from the Philippines!
“Oh my god! Maraming maraming salamat! Oh my god, parang hindi kayo masaya sa’kin,” were the first words the newly crowned queen Captivating Katkat uttered when she was given the microphone. She was laughing, of course, and followed it with a lighthearted “Eme!”

As a well-respected artist in the industry, her mere presence commands attention and elicits magnificence. All that comes with a sharp tongue and attitude that earned her a particular reputation. She is aware of this; perhaps that’s why she might have felt unwanted, albeit jokingly. But people change. Sometimes, our perception of a person gets trapped in the past, and we refuse to give them room to change and grow.
“Sobra ‘yung pinagdaanan ko sa season na ‘to, during [the] shoot and after, my god!”
Before the show started airing, she was already shrouded with controversy. But despite all the drama in and out of the show, Captivating Katkat indeed dominated the competition with her outstanding performances. She proved episode after episode that she was a queen of remarkable talent and expertise. From slaying the runway every week to winning the Snatch Game, her range was unquestionable.
“Maraming maraming salamat,” she repeated. “Ito lang ang pagpapatunay na hindi hadlang ang edad para maabot ang ating mga pangarap!”
With many years of experience under her belt, Captivating Katkat is the stuff of legend. Her journey to the Drag Race Philippines crown is a bonggang tale of grit, perseverance, and exceptional talent. It was also admirable and inspiring how she consistently incorporated advocacy for trans visibility and rights into her performances.
Her speech ended with a line from her winning Snatch Game character: “And to all my bashers and haters: Ang saya, ‘tih!”
Congratulations, Captivating Katkat!
