Here are the glittering ensembles Carly Rae Jepsen wore at the Wanderland Music and Arts Festival that made her reach the moon
Last weekend was probably not the loneliest time for those who watched Carly Rae Jepsen’s set at the Wanderland Music and Arts Festival. The Canadian singer-songwriter made the crowd go wild as she sang her latest hits that included “The Loneliest Time,”and the 2015 hit song “Run Away With Me.”And seeing how the singer opted for a groovier beat to her recent songs, it felt like the crowd was transported back to the late 70s as they danced and sang during her set.
She embraced the vibe of the late 70s even more with her sparkling ensembles that probably reached the moon. We’ve seen the same glittering aesthetic in her music videos so we’re not surprised to see her perform on stage with outfits reminiscent of her comeback single.
Carly made her first appearance on stage with chain-linked-finished purple coordinates. The look was the perfect mixture of old school and trendy with the plunging neckline and high slit—the former even taking us back to the days of Cher’s variety show. To add more flair to the look, she layered it with a coat decorated with pink and purple tassels from the neckline to the hem, as well as a pair of Viva Magenta platform pumps adorned with diamonds.
As for the second look, Carly opted for a more laid-back fit while still making sure she kept the sparkles. It was another coordinate ensemble that consisted of a bralette and straight cut pants in baby blue. Instead of tassels and chain-links, the outfit had sequins all over, making it just a tad less festive and more on the modern side. To finish the look, she kept the baby blue intact with a pair of leather heeled boots.
