The Binibini duo is set to make their hosting comeback this year at the Binibining Pilipinas 2023 coronation night, their third time
Back on the stage as the main hosts for the third year in a row, binibini alumnae Catriona Gray and Nicole Cordoves will lead the Binibining Pilipinas 2023 coronation night this Sunday. The Miss Universe 2018 and Miss Grand International 2016 1st runner-up made their official announcement last night in a retro glam special shoot with photographer BJ Pascual.
In 2020, both Catriona and Nicole made the initiative to give workshops to aspiring binibinis. The former also opened up about how her fellow queen helped her bring home the crown. In their MEGA exclusive interview that year, Catriona said, “Nicole (who was a big part of my journey and was a mentor to me) and I were talking about the possibility of being mentors together. I believe we both represent binibinis who have gone on to become spokespeople, and that’s how the idea grew to become mentors to help aspirants redefine pageantry.”
A year after, the two took their speaking skills further and made history as the first all-female hosts of the Binibining Pilipinas final show. Catriona and Nicole went on to reprise their hosting duties last year.
Expressing her excitement for this year’s coronation night, Nicole had wise words to impart on Instagram. “I’m a woman because of all the strong women who came before me, all the empowered women who inspire me. May we become the woman who helps the next one become the best they can be,” she wrote on Instagram.
