By

With the Philippine government now allowing members of the A4 priority group (essential workers, private sectors) to be jabbed with the COVID-19 vaccine, the entertainment industry is now also getting their highly-anticipated vaccines.

With herd immunity at the core to achieving a COVID-less country, it’s vital for everybody to get vaccinated as soon as their local government units allow.

Still on the fence about getting vaccinated? Check out these celebrities who’ve shared their experience of getting jabbed.

KathNiel

The young couple of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla got inoculated on June 21 at the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority’s (MMDA) Makati branch.

Per ABS-CBN correspondent MJ Felipe, the pair arrived at the vaccination site at around 9 AM and swiftly got their first doses before lunch.

DongYan

Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes both got vaccinated during the Philippine Independence Day on June 12 in Taguig City.

Dingdong took to Instagram to advocate for everyone to get vaccinated as soon as possible, stating that even though he had doubts at first, “through research and consultation with experts, mas nagkaroon ako ng lakas ng loob para magpabakuna.”

“This is my way of ensuring not only my health and safety, but also of my loved ones and my community,” the 40-year old actor added.

Maris Racal and Rico Blanco

Proving that it’s always better with a partner, this newly-announced couple also got vaccinated on Independence Day on June 12.

Maris captioned their post-jab couple selfie with a simple (but low key compelling) “magpabakuna ka na bestie.” Rico also posted about their vaccine experience with a similar “tara magpabakuna na, mga bestfriend!”

Iya Villania and Drew Arellano

This longtime couple got inoculated by none other than the Department Of Health Secretary himself, Francisco Duque III, at SM Mall of Asia on June 7.

With Iya’s work with GMA’s 24 Oras taking her outdoors and in the studio, the host shared that it was the perfect time for the government to open slots for A4 members.

“Each person vaccinated is a step closer to us achieving herd immunity and a chance to get our old norm back! Don’t we all want that?!”

Julia Baretto and Gerald Anderson

Julia and Gerald got vaccinated together on June 20 in Marikina City. Donning low-key outfits and matching caps, an Instagram story has even circulated of the pair holding on to each other while it was Julia’s turn to get jabbed.

Judy Anne Santos and Ryan Agoncillo

June 21 was definitely a big day to get vaccinated, as Juday and Ryan also got jabbed in the MMDA vaccination site around the same time as Kathryn and Daniel. Judy Ann also encouraged her fans to research fully and not listen to false claims regarding the virus.

Masnakakakampante po ng loob ang pagpapabakuna kesa maniwala sa mga naririnig nating sabi sabi at haka-haka sa paligid natin.”

Maine Mendoza

The 26-year old Eat Bulaga host and actress got her first dose in a Mandaluyong vaccination site just this June 21. Adding a humorous reaction image to getting jabbed, Maine also urged her fans to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

“Do your part and get vaccinated, friends!”

Kim Chiu

After more than a year of waiting and endless prayers “for the day to come”, the 31-year old actress got vaccinated on June 17.

Admitting that she was doubtful at first of the vaccine, Kim prepared herself by doubling her exercise regimen before the jab.

“[I had] so many “what ifs” on my mind. I made myself physically active by doing different workouts to help my lungs get stronger,” she shared.

She also furthered that the side-effects only included being “hungry for five days, 5-6 meals instead of 2 meals a day, then that’s it.”

Saab Magalona

This cool mom of two finished her second dose on June 21. Initially joking that it was “time to party”, she released vital advice for those who’ve been fully vaccinated.

“Stay home as much as possible, keep your masks on, wash your hands and disinfect — EVEN IF YOU ARE FULLY VACCINATED!

“Being fully vaccinated does not mean being fully immune against the virus,” she added. “Sobrang konti palang sa buong population ang nababakunahan kaya wag tayong magpabaya.”

Visit DOH.gov if you have any questions about getting vaccinated against COVID-19. Contact your local government units on how to get registered for the vaccine.
