4 Chanel Lipsticks to Paint the Town Red

4 Chanel Lipsticks to Paint the Town Red

No one does red quite like Chanel. From clothes, to accessories and beauty, their version of red (and its many, many variants) is always striking and powerful, yet refined and elegant. While we love all kinds of red Chanel lippies, the Rouge Coco line is especially perfect for summer. From the lightweight, comfortable feel, to its vibrant colors and range of finishes, there’s a Rouge Coco lippie for every woman.

Rouge Coco Blush (P1950). The latest product range from the Rouge Coco line works for both the lips and cheeks. It features a soft, silky, gel-cream texture that instantly melts on the skin while infusing it with a delicious color. From the 6 shades, we love the 418 Rouge Captivant, described as the ultimate red. Dab on the apples of the cheeks and center of the lips for a young, carefree look.

Rouge Coco Stylo (P2250). If you crave intense color and moisture, then the Rouge Coco Stylo line is for you. This lipstick pen offers shiny, vivid color. Wear it on its own or top over lipstick for long0lasting wear. This has been a long-time favorite for many beauty editors, but this season, the 234 Framboise Sensuelle, a cool-toned raspberry red is just the kind of Kool-Aid color we crave.

Rouge Coco Shine. For the classicist, Rouge Coco Shine line is the lipstick to tote this summer. The bullet to slip into your Chanel Boy is the 144 Rouge Irrésistible (P2250), a deep pinkish-red shade. To make this moisturizing lipstick last longer, apply it on top of a lip pencil, blot, then reapply another thin shade. This ensures that your red lips will fade into a soft, seductive stain after your last glass of bubbly.

Rouge Coco Gloss. Yes, matte reigns supreme here in the Philippines, but the Chanel woman has always been her own woman. Slick the Rouge Coco Gloss (P1950) in 806 Rose Tentation, which is technically a pink shade but is so deep it makes one’s lips look like a budding rose studded with dew. The plush, gel-like texture of this gloss and the subdued shine it offers is a long way from the tacky, bubblegum-scented glosses of yore.
