Let’s take a closer look at these five MUPH candidates who could be crowned the next Miss Universe Philippines.
Kali Navea-Huff
One of the interesting candidates to watch out for is the communications skill guru turned beauty queen aspirant herself, Kali Navea-Huff. This woman has dedicated her expertise to training beauty queens in the art of communication, which helps aspiring candidates ace the Q&A portion of the actual competition. And now, she is stepping out on stage as one of the candidates in the Miss Universe Philippines pageant. According to reports, Kali does not see her former career as an advantage for the competition. However, people see these credentials as a major asset. She also shared in an interview that she still feels pressured despite her familiarity with the competition, but she will work hard to make it happen in her favor.
Clare Inso
The height requirement hindered Claire Inso to join the beauty pageants in the past. But right when she heard that the height is much more inclusive this season, Claire finally signed up. If chosen to reign as Miss Universe Philippines, Claire wants to achieve a wider platform for discussions of inequality, including the fight for the LGBTQ+ community and educational system.
Dianne Padillo
With her five years of experience in public service, Dianne Padillo’s passion in furthering her advocacy will push her to give the A-game on the pageant stage, especially as she is fighting for youth empowerment and leadership. Apart from being a public servant, Dianne has also worked as a model before she joined the prestigious pageant, which means we can definitely expect to see a stunning walk every time.
Jannarie Zarzoso
Being part of the 40 official candidates is already big thing in itself, but being one of the frontrunners in the preliminary competition despite being a first-time candidate is even bigger. Jannarie won a spot during the preliminaries for the runway competition. With that, people saw that she knows how to command attention with her graceful strides and enviable posture. Her effortless poise on the runway could be her advantage to own the Miss Universe Philippines title.
Airissh Ramos
One of the many things that makes Airissh Ramos someone to look out for in the ongoing competition for the Miss Universe Philippines crown is her openness to learn. In an interview, Airissh shared that experienced candidates such as Michelle Dee, Samantha Panlilio, and many others are generous in giving her tips to ace challenges. Her willingness to gain more knowledge led her to win a spot in the top three because of her visuals, and even first place in the National Costume competition.
