Curtismith and Leila announced their relationship publicly in 2019. Leila’s parents—Ogie Alcasid and former beauty queen and actress Michelle van Eimeraen—talked about meeting him for the first time that year. Michelle adored the rapper, constantly expressing her adoration and appreciation for him in a September 2019 vlog.
Meanwhile, Leila’s father—OPM icon Ogie Alcasid—has expressed his worries and doubts as a father in the relationship, opening up on his feelings in an interview on Magandang Buhay. But for him at the end of the day, the happiness of his daughter was still his priority and he understood his role as Leila’s dad. “Ang anak ko ay nasa tamang desisyon na para makapamili,” he said.
Last year, Curtismith opened up about his live-in situation with Leila in an interview, and he said that he wanted to live with her for the rest of his life. Now, it seems that the rapper’s dreams are about to come true. The couple’s friends and family members shared their well wishes for them, offering their congratulatory greetings in the comments.
Both sharing a passion in music, Leila and Mito are both artists in the field. The Filipino-Australian singer-songwriter released her first extended play (EP) in 2020 called Better Weather, which was also the title of her EP’s lead single. In the same year, she collaborated with producer Moophs on the track “Clouds” in Paradise Rising’s first EP semilucent.
Sharing the creative passion of his parents, Curtismith is the son of the late cinematographer Miguel Fabie III and former MEGA editor-in-chief Carla Sibal. Today, he is signed with indie label Pool Records. The rapper is mostly known for his feature in Kiana Valenciano’s single “Does She Know,” and he released his debut album Museo in 2021, featuring his single “Downtown as Fruits.”
