This Event Will Make You Run For A Day But Commit For A Lifetime

By

10 years later, Earth Day Run is now asking you to make a lifetime commitment.

In 2009, the National Geographic held the very first Earth Day Run in the country. Earth Day Run 2019 only got bigger and better 10 years later. This year, the event is focused on eliminating single-use plastic. Co-presented by Immunomax, the event is expected to be filled with 15,000 runners this year all aiming to finish 3K, 5K, 10K and 21K race categories. With the ‘Planet or Plastic?’ campaign, #NatGeoRun2019 aims to prevent 1 billion plastic items from reaching the ocean.

With this, everyone is encouraged not only to join the run but also to take the Planet or Plastic?’ pledge. This pledge commits you to reduce your use of single-use plastic. Some of those include straws, plastic bottles, and plastic bags. Taking the pledge will make you a part of a community aiming to eradicate single-use plastics that are polluting the ocean. Race at the SM Mall of Asia on April 14, 2019.
