Even if his book already consists of lessons on how to be unapologetically yourself, Da Baddest still has some bad bitch style tricks up his sleeve

First of all, if you didn’t know that Bretman Rock is here in Manila—why don’t you? Second, his first book, You’re That Bitch: & Other Cute Lessons About Being Unapologetically Yourself, has been out for almost a month now and it’s high time that you get yourself a copy. Besides, who wouldn’t want to become the baddest bitch they can be? And since Bretman is not only a first-generation immigrant in America, but also a full-blooded Filipino, it was inevitable that he would fly back to Manila to promote his much-awaited piece of work.

Last March 2, W Talent Management held a media gathering with some members of the press to get a chance to have an intimate chat with Bretman himself. Hosted by Mond Gutierrez, the event, which was wittily called Bretman Rocks Manila, was filled with nothing but laughter, cheers, and good vibes all around. Throughout the press conference, Bretman shared some juicy parts from his book, which includes where he lost his virginity. To those curious—let’s just say that perhaps mouse ears were involved.

While others were dying to know what else he had planned for his Manila trip and if there would be a sequel to his book, MEGAStyle was able to grab the opportunity to ask for the fashion advice he would give to those who are still trying to figure out their personal styles. Da Baddest only had this to say: “My biggest advice is don’t look at the labels, girl. Eff labels.”

“As a non-binary person, I feel like I’ve always shopped in this way, regardless if I was thrift shopping or shopping at [the store of] an expensive brand—I never ever looked at who the clothing was made for. I don’t care if I’m wearing women’s pants […] I love that fashion is moving forward in that way. Now more than ever, I feel like we’re mix-matching clothes, gender-wise.”

To get to know more about Bretman Rock and the cute lessons he has in store for all of us, go ahead and grab a copy of You’re That Bitch: & Other Cute Lessons About Being Unapologetically Yourself, which you can even get signed at his book signing events this weekend, March 4 and 5, at SM Megamall and SM Mall of Asia, respectively.
