Ellen Adarna is officially a Mrs.! After their surprise engagement in March, the actress finally said her “I Do’s” with Derek Ramsay, alongside her closest friends and son Elias. Looking every bit a blushing bride, here are all the details of Ellen Adarna’s bridal look.
Wedding Dress
For her big day, Ellen Adarna wore a creation by Marc Rancy. Talking to the beloved Filipino designer, he shares that the design of Ellen’s wedding dress was a inspired by the bride herself. “The main inspiration was basically her being “Ellen Adarna”,” he shares. “I wanted her fans and people in general to see her as a real bride, without losing the essence of what made her who she is.” And truly, the wedding gown was every bit Ellen: simple with a hint of her signature sultriness, glamour, and femininity. The wedding gown featured a high slit and intricate lace details.
“All the designs I made for Ellen were based entirely on her personality. We all know that Ellen will be in no way a typical bride, the dress has to have that sensuality and panache, while making sure the dress fits the venue and the motif as well,” Marc Rancy shares. Ellen, of course, also had her own vision of how her dress will be for her big day. “Starting on the dress, she had told me she doesn’t want volume, she wants to be able to move with ease. The right dress for Ellen balances the right amount of skin, femininity and glamour.” For her after party dress, Ellen Adarna opted for a short strapless dress also designed by Marc Rancy.
Thankfully, Marc and Ellen didn’t encounter any challenges during the creative process of the bridal gown despite the pandemic. The designer even shared that they first started talking in August—where he brought a sample from his bridal collection—and the process flowed easily from there. “I was actually in the middle of doing a bridal collection – so I made sure to bring a prototype from the collection just so she could see the fit and silhouette, it all began from there,” he said. “There were no particular challenges related to the whole process in terms of this pandemic, everything went relatively smoothly all things considered.”
Hair and Make-Up
When we said Ellen Adarna embodied a blushing bride, we really meant it—thanks to her team Mickey See and Raymond Santiago. Known for her natural beauty, the bride opted for a natural-no-makeup makeup look for her big day. Her hair, done by celebrity favorite hairstylist Raymond Santiago, was in big mermaid curls, showing off her long locks.
Accessories
To complete her bridal look, Ellen Adarna turned to Sep Vergara and Nicholas Kirkwood. She wore a pair of heels from Nicholas Kirkwood that perfectly matched her wedding dress. For her jewelry, Ellen Adarna opted for some stunning pieces from Sep Vergara.
The Team
Of course, Ellen Adarna’s bridal look wouldn’t be possible without a hardworking team behind her. For the photoshoot and her big day, she was styled by Rainier Dagala and Em Millan, or more commonly known as Team RainxEm, assisted by Rioliza Camantigue and Elaine Villapando. Her nails were done by Mimi Que. The production was designed by Randy Lazaro, and coordinated by La Belle. Her bridal photoshoot was shot at Lucas Studio.
