What was a last-minute decision became one of the most memorable looks on the white carpet at the Star Magical Christmas
In a sea of shimmering gowns and boldly colored suits on the white carpet, Anji Salvacion walked confidently with a wooden cane in her hand in a bold, festive red suit ensemble by Per Padua to embody the Filipino Christmas spirit. The plunging neckline, the long coat, and the wide leg pants—all in a monochromatic red, the actress was a sight to behold as she walked the carpet in her 30s Hollywood-esque look. MEGA Style talked with Salvacion’s stylist Drew Lacia to tell us the story of how they reached this old Hollywood look.

Last Minute Old Hollywood
“My first idea with Anji’s look was supposed to be inspired by Victoria’s Secret recent fashion show with Christmas feels, but finally decided to change it into a pantsuit and also made it red as a recognized color of Christmas,” Lacia shared.
Impressively, Drew Lacia shared that her Star Magical Christmas Ball look was done at the last minute. Anji’s vision was to look simple and comfortable, opting out the usual shine and glitter. This time, the actress expressed her desire to dress more androgynous than her previous feminine looks.
“As Anji’s stylist, I know for sure she can slay anything. After exchanging ideas, we finally decided to go for the Marcel Rochas pantsuit inspiration,” Lacia confidently said, also thanking designer Per Padua for designing the pantsuit despite the limited time.
Modernized Girl Boss
“Even the hair is from the old Hollywood era. We somehow modernized the look into a red long blazer and wide-leg pants,” the stylist shared, intending for Anji’s face card to be the highlight of the ensemble.
Lacia also shared how Salvacion’s cane was meant to be filled with rhinestones, but with the actress’ vision of simplicity, they opted for the wooden cane. “The cane was for her to look sophisticated, just like a girl boss,” Drew Lacia explained.
Four Years as a Tandem
Drew Lacia has been Anji Salvacion’s stylist since she entered the industry in 2020. Soon to be five years as a tandem, the stylist expressed how fun it is to work with the actress, not only because of her sweet and down-to-earth personality but also how the tandem talk nonstop during fittings. “Working with her and throwing ideas with her is so much fun,” the stylist shared.
