Filipino makeup artists Jelly Eugenio, Anthea Bueno, and Mark Kingson Qua are bringing passion, expertise, and artistry to their Full Spectrum Makeup Masterclass. Here’s an exclusive first look into the upcoming event
Beauty enthusiasts—from beginners to experts—have one more thing to look forward to next year and that’s Full Spectrum Makeup Masterclass. At the helm of this masterclass are three leading makeup artists in the Philippines, namely Angelo “Jelly” Eugenio, Anthea Bueno, and Mark Kingson Qua. With each bringing their own expertise and specialties into the mix, participants can expect to learn all the needed tips, tricks, and more to elevate their beauty games. Read ahead for what to expect from this iconic collaboration, with an exclusive first look straight from one of the makeup artists behind this project.
A passion project come to life
In an exclusive interview with MEGA, Jelly details how the Full Spectrum Makeup Masterclass is a passion project born out of the three’s mutual desire to share their knowledge on makeup. Emphasizing that this is a masterclass for the modern day, he also says this masterclass will delve into other tricks of the trade in the beauty and wedding industries, such as work in editorials, online content creation, and proper conduct as a makeup artist.
Jelly also tells us—ahead of the official announcement—that the first show of Full Spectrum Makeup Masterclass will be held on February 9, 2024, and it’s open to registration for everyone from beginners to beauty experts.
“I think what makes the masterclass stand out from all the other classes you will be attending is that it’s everything in one; the knowledge of three makeup artists—three local and leading makeup artists—and we have our own expertise,” Jelly tells MEGA. Going into detail, he says that Anthea will focus more on skin prep, how to beautify skin and delve into editorial work. Meanwhile, Mark will focus more on bridal makeup, as well as makeup artist conduct and how to be a professional.
For himself, Jelly says, “My part will be all about the glamor, the TikTok, the Instagram, the Internet. I’ll be doing pageant makeup and glam, so it’s gonna be a full day of learning—everything you have to learn about makeup.”
Something for everybody
Jelly also mentions to MEGA that the masterclass is named as such because they want to reach as many people as possible. “Spectrum because it’s a wavelength of supposedly many different colors. Whatever wavelength you are in the beauty industry, if you’re starting, if you’re practicing, if you’re a makeup artist, you’re a pro, or you’re a beauty expert; you are welcome because we will really share all the knowledge that we have in this masterclass,” he says.
According to him, there will also be special segments in the afternoon where each of the three makeup artists will show their versions of a 15-minute makeup look. These time-crunch tutorials are catered to those who are not makeup artists, he says, but even professionals can learn a thing or two from this segment for the times when they’re doing entourage or their celebrity client is in a rush.

He further mentions that they will be teaching practical knowledge of products in the Full Spectrum Makeup Masterclass as well. Specifically, in being mindful of buying products, how to use such wisely, and how not to purchase just based on trends.
“I think we will also be tapping into that because by solidifying your technique, I think you will learn that you don’t really need all of these products being launched [so] you’ll be a smarter shopper in the end as well,” he says, adding, “And, of course, after the class, you will be a better makeup artist either on your own or on another person. It’s like three full-day [classes] that you’ll learn in one day.”
Only more to come
“Another exciting part about it is, of course, as local celebrity makeup artists, we have our own celebrity muses, so you will see our favorite muses there. We cannot mention yet who, but of course, that would be a surprise for all of the people who will sign up. You can make guesses on who will be present but they will be there. That’s all I can say for now,” Jelly mentions.
Besides that, participants can look forward to Q&A portions after every demo to ask about techniques. And if you want to ask about topics outside of that, he says you can send in your questions before the workshop. “And we’re really planning to make this a community, so even if it’s not just on the day, we would really plan to have either a group or a group chat or something like that, just so we could help if they’re a makeup artist or just a beginner, so we could answer right away. We really just wanna make this a really interactive community for us makeup artists and for our new students and our friends soon,” he mentions.
All in all, the Full Spectrum Makeup Masterclass is shaping up to be something that goes beyond being a run-of-the-mill makeup workshop. And their end goal? Jelly says, “To be able to produce and to make this a successful event, and for everybody to love it and to learn from it and just take away a lot of knowledge from it. I think that’s the end goal and that would be our success story. That would make us really happy, and that is really what I’m excited about.”
Jelly is also excited to spend the day with his fellow makeup artists and make history with them if everything proceeds as successfully as they hope. “And we still have plans for the future, which I cannot discuss yet,” he teases.
