While others came as elves, treats, and other Christmas icons, Pinoy Big Brother winner Fyang Smith waltzed in as a fairy
Sofia “Fyang” Smith bypassed the usual holiday reds and greens for something fresh and magical at this year’s Star Magical Christmas. Dressed in a custom Ehrran Montoya ensemble, she channeled a garden nymph—ruffles, crystals, and all the dreamy details in flattering shades of lavender. Walking the white carpet, it was as if she stepped straight out of a holiday fairytale, and in this exclusive, her designer Ehrran shares what inspired the look and all the intricate touches that kept everyone’s eyes on his muse.

Taking Shape as a Nymph
As Fyang walked into Ehrran Montoya’s atelier, her request was clear. “She requested a fairy-inspired ensemble in a lavender shade since it’s the color of her branding,” Ehrran shared. From there, the vision unfolded into a “Garden Nymph” look, perfectly syncing with the whimsical Christmas theme of the Star Magical Christmas and giving Fyang her sartorial wings.
Lavender ruffles, wing details, and romantic crystal embellishments were the core of the design. “It took us 168 hours to create,” the designer revealed. The fitted corset, gloves, and stockings adorned with floral lace appliqués may sound like an overload of details, but it all came together to capture the vision.
Her First Red Carpet
As a first-time red carpet attendee, Fyang had her fingerprints all over the design. “It’s also her first ball after winning as the PBB Big Winner, so I made sure that she’s part of the process,” Ehrran shared. From the piece’s silhouette to the head-to-toe styling, they fine-tuned everything together to ensure her carpet debut was one to remember.
A closer look at the design made it clear that nothing was left to chance. A crystal-encrusted headpiece in delicate leaf patterns complimented the dress. So, too, did the gloves, stockings, and shoes, each bringing a cohesive yet maximalist statement in true Montoya fashion. Not to mention her equally maximalist earrings by Farah Abu.
It’s also obvious that the designer-muse dynamic was natural; as Ehrran laid down his cards, so did Fyang. “She knows what she wants, and we love working with celebrities who have their own branding,” the designer said. Infusing this kind of personality turned her lavender dress into a moment of its own.
The Perfect Muse
Again, nothing was by chance, as even Fyang’s decision to embody a fairy for the ball fit her real-life persona. Her striking features and confident aura made her the ideal muse for Ehrran’s creation. “She really looks like a pixie,” the designer expressed. “Her face, skin complexion, and body build made her the perfect model to exude the Garden Nymph Fairy for this year’s Christmas Ball.”
