Experience an Italian High Tea Escape at Home

Elevate occasions at home with these Italian high tea-inspired tablescapes by Pinky Tobiano and Cat Arambulo

There’s a certain joy when preparing for a little get-together at home. It’s the process of planning what food to prepare, thinking of how to decorate the place, and setting up the table for a little prestige. While some opt to go outside instead, there are those who find the preparation of a home gathering a hobby, and if you’re the type of person who enjoys their time to arrange and plan out events, there is a spot you can go to for a little Italian inspiration.

Located at the Podium in Ortigas, Opulence Design Concept showcases three designs that encapsulate Italian culture. Each design was carefully executed by Pinky Tobiano, known as the Queen of Tablescaping, and Filipino entrepreneur Cat Arambulo—two creative minds collaborated to put together tablescapes you can easily recreate at home.

Both women made sure to get the feel of Italian high tea done in three setups using pieces from the luxury brand. Each tablescape is distinct as the codes were based on three regions of Italy: Venice, Milan, and Tuscany.

If it’s all things luxury and grand, you can point your fingers towards the grandeur of Venice. The design is able to embrace the richness through their use of gold tableware—all of which are from the Versace tableware collection.

The following setup is a celebration of art and culture from Milan that exudes a contemporary aesthetic. The plates are finished with different prints from Fornesettia’s collection to live up to the modernity of Milan.

Lastly, a countryside tablescape represents the earthy landscape of Tuscany, where vast valleys are covered with rich grass and Cypress trees. The setup mirrors this by keeping the simplicity of white pieces from the Thomas tableware collection, specifically the Trend Color Night Blue set.

Although this tablescape venture was solely made to celebrate Mother’s Day, who’s to say that you can’t recreate these for your very own intimate high tea event at home?
