Philippine fashion icon Frederick Peralta is selling his creations to fund his health and living expenses.
Frederick Peralta’s take on extravagant evening gowns and men’s suits has always captivated many people. One collection after another, he never failed to be ecstatic about no-holds-barred revival of all things lavish. Hence, this paved way for countless celebrities and socialites to grace several best-dressed lists.
After years of perseverance to bring Philippine fashion to the international scene, he won the grand prize in 1994 at the Internacionale des Jeunes Creatures de Mode in Paris. His winning gown entitled, “The Pearl of the Orient” was fully-embellished with intricate beadwork that impeccably showcased the true Filipino artistry.
With his big contributions to the local fashion industry, he has been regarded as one of the great stewards of Philippine design. So after news broke that he recently suffered from a stroke in 2018, his industry friends are coming together to help him fund his daily expenses.

More than 50 of his brilliant vintage creations will be on sale at a trunk show at the Manila Marriott Hotel. From the original price that ranges around hundreds of thousands will now be priced at around Php 2,000 for the suits and PHP 8,000-10,000 for the gowns.
According to Marriott’s Director of Marketing and Communications Michelle Garcia, you may “Shop & Help trunk sale from June 16-23 at Marriott 7AM to 7PM.” However, should you wish to contribute directly to Frederick Peralta’s recovery through monetary contributions, you may contact his sister Len Peralta-Caro.
