It’s the season finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race and our girls are sickening. Symone, Gottmik, Kandy, and Rosé have all shown us the four elements that make up a great drag queen: Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, and Talent. Now, it’s time for them to take the main stage and stun us with queen-worthy lip sync assassinations. This year’s season finale will be different from last year’s quarantine edition. The queens of the former RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 12 were asked to compete at the finale from the comfort of their homes. Now that we are a year in the pandemic, World of Wonder and their team have found a way for the queens to compete together by following all COVID-19 protocols for Season 13.
Fans across the world are eager to see all the girls come together for the finale. For this season in particular, RPDR (RuPaul’s Drag Race) fans have been on the edge of their seat about who will make it to the final four. Even drag queens of the Philippines have made their own predictions on who will be crowned the next Drag Superstar. Here’s what they have to say.
Eva Le Queen says,
“I mean we’ve had like 12 season winners. Plus, 5 all star winners. We’ve seen all kinds of drag queens with charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent. There are pageant queens, comedy queens, art, fashion, performers, and all. Any one in the top 4 could be the winner. But, I believe there’s just so much more meaning to have someone like Gottmik be on top.
Just imagine the inspiration and impact it will have for the entire drag and LGBTQIA community. Pero of course, by the end of the day it’s all down to a lip sync battle. And of the 4 of them, based on that alone, Symone’s probably got this.”
Marina Summers says,
“Honestly, my heart is torn between Gottmik and Symone. They both delivered amazing performances the whole season and they both truly gave light to what they represent. But if I had to choose one, my bet would have to be Symone. She excelled not only on the runway, but also on the main challenges and her lip sync performances.
You can see the fire in her eyes. And, it shows her genuine love and respect for the craft and the community she represents. Looks, performance, personality, branding, and relatability, 10s across the board. Really a great representation of what a superstar is.”
Precious Paula Nicole says,
“Kung ako si RuPaul ay talaga namang mahihirapan ako, dahil para sakin lahat silang apat ay deserving manalo! Kung pwede lang na ang apat din i-crown, gagawin ko! But, if I had to choose one… It would be Rosé!
Because he can act, he can sing, and he’s a great dancer! Multi-talented Queen! Nasa kanya na ang lahat! Plus, I can relate to him. We have very similar lives from being a theater performer and dancer to a Drag Queen. Kaya siya ng winner for me! Sure na!”
Lady Gagita says,
“If we base it on the track record, I think si Gottmik ang mananalo. If mananalo siya, he will be the first transman to win the race. #TransVisibility. But, if we talk about impact, I think si Symone mananalo, because she’s an all rounder. Iba ang impact nya sa audience.”
Gorgeous Dawn says,
“I AM TEAM ROSÉ! TALENT, TALENT, AND ALL TALENT! My favorite look of hers is when she did Trains for Days and yung sa Bead It! The Tinkerbell-ish ensemble was sooo cute! And, the blue suit with lots of tulle fabric on it! I love it! I even got that look as inspiration for my outfit in Tv5 Drag Queendom!”
