Matching sneakers to girly pieces may seem like a daunting task when you’re trying it out for the first time. Events host and style blogger Janeena Chan shares her own personal tips to dressing pretty with ultra-comfy shoes.
1. Balance it Out
Tone down billowy culottes by pairing them with chic sneaks. “If you’re wearing something dressy but just want the right balance instead of looking so fixed, you can opt for sneakers,” shares Janeena.
2. Keep it Simple
Straightforward cuts help accentuate striking sneakers. Janeena prefers white or pastel kicks that come in strong solid colors. They’re simply easy to match to outfits.
3. Go Low Maintenance
“Two words: leather sneakers,” says Janeena. “They’re perfect for Summer and Spring fashion, and are easy to clean.”
4. Call Attention
Janeena’s current favorite of the moment is neutrals that have an edge. Wear something a little daring to turn heads. “Go black and white,” she suggests. “Sneakers can always be the center of attention.”
